Start off by summarizing what are the outputs envisaged to record the second half of September: Muse, Beastie Boys, Megadeth, Porcupine Tree, Brand New, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Editors … enough? Obviously not! Indeed, the list must be added another group in its own way historic: the Living Color.
The Living Color, along with bands like Fishbone, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Faith No More, in the second half of the 80s helped to shape the “funk metal”, the kind of reference to much of the following groups rap-rock crossover. Their masterpiece is their debut, “Vivid” of 1988, while their last album, “Collideøscope”, dates back to far in 2003.
The rock band of color is more important than ever along with Bad Brains and Fishbone the fact (if not always consider “rock” the Funkadelic George Clinton of), will return on 15 September with “The Chair in the Doorway” due out on Mega force Records historic metal label 80s (the first two of Metallica, Anthrax, Testament, but also the Bad Brains just cited). After the jump you will find the tracklist of “The Chair in the Doorway”, some of their most famous pieces, and a live version of “Decadence,” one of the songs of the new album.
