(click for big Ryan)

Ryan hits the skins for Off Machine...although, I don't think drum heads are made of skin anymore. Ryan is a computer programmer, he has a network in his house, he plays Quake online. Enough said? To send him an email telling him he is a geek, click reibling@pair.com

1. How did you end up In AZ? I returned to the states from Guam just after getting divorced and my parents were here - stayed with them for a while 'til I got a job and a house.

2. Have you ever cried at a chic movie? My official answer would have to be no. Women may ask me privately for a more endearing response.

3. What is your favorite breast size? I think Anthony Michael Hall had the right idea in Weird Science: "any more than a handful is a waste" (or something to that effect)

4. How do you take your coffee? Black, straight from the coffee pot, with the consistency of molasses. Sometime I like to just chew up the raw beans and drink boiling water to wash them down. No wait, I don't drink coffee.

5. Top 5 albums of all time (this week): In no particular order off the top of my head;

  • Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante
  • Incubus - SCIENCE (I just got it, so it'll probably slide off the list next week)
  • Yes - 90125
  • Metallica - Master of Puppets
  • Foo Fighters - Colour and the Shape

6. Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera? For singing ability, Christina, hands down. Otherwise, tough call but probably Britney.

7 Steak: rare, medium, well-done? Medium

8. have your ever faked an orgasm? No, I prefer real ones.

9. Do you read while pooping? No.

10 How many bands have you been in starting from age 15, and who were the members involved. Give a brief chronological of your musical family tree.

  • 1. Diragor (late 80's) - a horribly disorganized and naive cover band that kind of sucked.
  • 2. Malediction (~'88-'90) - very good speed/thrash metal cover band that was pretty popular.
  • 3. Malediction (~'91-'92) - a second incarnation of the thrash cover band of which I was the only remaining member. Started slow, but very popular by the time we broke up (nearly 200 at our last gig with no opening bands).
  • 4. Drained ('93-'94) - good original band, same members as Malediction 2. Small but enthusiastic following. Music was like Helmet meets Pantera. Finished a recording before I joined the AF in '94, they got a new drummer and recorded once more.
  • 5. Soylent Green ('93-'94) - I think the name was misspelled, but it was a kind of tongue-in-cheek original punk/rock/metal band that was a blast to be a part of. Finished one very short recording before I left.
  • 6. Aisle4 ('93-'94) - Obviously a busy time for me. This was an original industrial project - I wrote the music, programmed/recorded drums, played guitar and lead vocals. Had a partner on bass who also wrote lyrics.
  • 7. Creatures of Habit ('99-now) - original metal band. http://www.cohsucks.com/
  • Throughout all of this (and presently) I've worked on my own material, but I have yet to do anything with most of it, except for that Aisle4 project.

11 Describe your day job: usually boring. Oh, I'm a computer programmer, if that's what you mean.
