After more than fifteen years with the rock band The Respectables, Pascal decided to go it alone in January. Since then, from his first solo material entitled Citizen of the World was launched in early summer and has made its way on Quebec radio. Forged in the same mold that we had won many successes which Pascal worked as amalgam, Fun, decadence Hola, etc, the public has welcomed the new song and we looked forward to the other equipment of the artist.ÂÂ
It is now done, the album has a dozen songs and each went out of the previous one, a fact quite rare. It listens to the album from beginning to end without tiring, arrangements are creative, catchy, with lots of guitars but they all take place. After all, a pop rock album that should delight positions radios and public appreciation of the material already Respectables. We can not make mistakes because we feel in familiar and discover a world perhaps more personal since Pascal speaks clearly of his own concerns.
Precisely in this regard, Pascal says that writing songs help to understand the world around them, both the consumer society that personal relations. Among the songs that emerged from the first listening, I recommend World Citizen, the red sofa, above board (beautiful guitar), Do you follow me and the little blues I found yet. I feel that this album has not finished spinning in my player, you will discover small beads each listening. A good start for Fall.
Directed by Pascal himself, helped by Leonardo de Luca and Cristobal Tapia de Veer, the album is produced by the rocker box Papillon, BFT productions, and is distributed by Select. Note that Pascal plays almost all instruments, excluding the battery (Alain Bergé) and a touch of keyboards courtesy of Antoine Gratton.
