Chevelle I return in September with “Sci-Fi Crimes”

July 23rd, 2009 Peter

The Chevelle was never famous in Italy, but in the U.S. is now ten years living a good success. Their sound is due to the meeting point of a hypothetical triangle between Helmet (key group 90 years), Tool and Deft ones, all shaped by a large emphasis vocal lines and melodies catchy enough.

Perhaps for reasons of age, very much loved “Wonder what’s Next” in 2002, their best seller which contained individual as The Red, Send the Pain Below and Closure. The debut, however, occurred three years earlier with “Point # 1″ album still heavily influenced by Tool (as shown by the individual Mia). After “Wonder What’s Next”, the band of Grayslake has published “This Type of Thinking” in 2004 and “Vena Sera” in 2007 which did not show great musical innovations while remaining above the disk media.

Even if “Vena Sera” from the musical modeled quite faithfully the earlier work, presented the band with a look that totally distorted fashion (hopefully passing …) “emo”. Now the band is back with new album entitled “Sci-Fi Crimes” and should leave the first of September. The individual is “Jars” and fail to say is in full Chevelle-style, although it must be said that the chorus is perhaps less evocative than those of their old hits (individual 6 in top10 of Modern Rock Chart). Can be found after the jump, tell us what you think.
