Francis Cabrel was born on 23 November 1953 in Agen parents of Italian origin in a modest. He spent a happy childhood in Astafford in contact with nature. Around ten years he receives from his uncle, his first guitar. But not knowing how to use it, he quickly left for later. Only a few years later he discovered his passion for music through Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles. Self-taught, he taught music theory with a manual and a few friends decided to set up a group in which he improvised singer.
